STATEMENT
“Important Matters and Things,” which concealed, cause us two conflicting sensations: a Presentiment that these Important Matters and Things should not be spoiled by observation, and an Impulse to somehow catch a glimpse of them.Such ambivalent feelings are closely related to my creative attitude and expression in my works.
「大事な事や物」は常に隠されたものとしてあり、それらは視線でけがされてはならないのではないかという予感と、それらを垣間見たい衝動との二つの感覚を惹き起こします。そういったアンヴィバレントな感情は、私の作品における表現と制作態度とに密接に関わっています。
